Whether you are filling them in with color or you are constantly trying to get the shape right. It can be hours, however now, you can just have cosmetic tattooing done and have flawless eyebrows all of the time.

So, if you had been thinking “are powder brows for me?”, read on to learn more about powder brows.

Ombre Brows (Powder Brows/Shaded Brows) is a semi-permanent procedure of inserting pigment into the top layers of the skin.

This is a two-step process in which the initial treatment will occur, and then a touch-up around the 6 to the 8-week margin. This technique differs from that of Microblading in that the look is a misty, powder-filled brow resembling the look of make-up or a fresh eyebrow tint.

It is considered semi-permanent because it will fade over time if no additional procedure is performed.

Here’s what to expect after the treatment:

  • The tails of the brow will be darker and as you move towards the front of the brows, it will begin to fade
  • The effects are waterproof and smudge-proof
  • It will last longer than Microblading
  • Results are NOT determined until the touch-up application is completed.

Ombre brows can last between 1-3 years, with a touch-up required 6 to 8 weeks after the initial treatment. Clients that choose a soft look with a light colour shade or did not follow the aftercare instructions may require more touch-up appointments.

Other factors that will cause your semi-permanent brow tattoo to fade faster is excessive use of tanning beds or sun exposure, exfoliating the brow region, oily skin, or various medical conditions. Check out to help you decide if powder brows are a good fit for you.
